Photographing Glass Objects Without Distracting Reflections

Glass is one of the most challenging materials to photograph. Unlike many products, glass reflects everything around it, including lights, equipment, and the photographer.
Successful glass photography requires careful control of the studio environment. The position of every light source affects how the object appears. Small adjustments can dramatically change the final image.
Art glass photography presents additional challenges because each piece is unique. The goal is not only to document the object accurately but also to communicate its craftsmanship, colour, transparency, and character.
For galleries, artists, collectors, and publications, high-quality glass photography plays an important role in exhibition promotion, catalogue production, and portfolio development.
As a London photographer specialising in product photography, still life photography, and art glass photography, I regularly work with artists, galleries, and collectors to create images that showcase glass objects with clarity and impact.
